Trevor Hunsaker Named President of Big-D Lindon Unit

Trevor Hunsaker has been promoted to President of Big-D Construction’s Lindon office, which includes Bi-D’s Idaho Falls office. This leadership transition comes as the Lindon office celebrates 15 years of growth, strengthening Big-D’s presence in Utah County. As one of the fastest-growing counties in the state, Utah County is projected to lead Utah’s population growth over the next two decades. Hunsaker has been an integral part of Big-D for nearly two decades, demonstrating leadership, dedication, and a strong commitment to excellence. With more than 32 years of experience in construction, he has played a vital role in delivering high-quality projects and fostering lasting client relationships. Since joining Big-D in 2007, Hunsaker has exemplified the values that define the company.

“We are thrilled to announce Trevor Hunsaker’s promotion to President,” said Troy Thompson, COO. “Under Trevor’s exceptional leadership, both Lindon and Idaho Falls have thrived, earning top rankings in the Great Places to Work survey and are poised for great years ahead.” Hunsaker’s promotion reflects not only his personal achievements but also the collective success of the Lindon team. His ability to drive results, mentor emerging leaders, and uphold Big-D’s standards of quality makes him the right choice to lead the company’s continued expansion in this thriving market. From landmark projects like the BYU Heritage Halls Student Housing to critical healthcare facilities such as Gunnison Valley Hospital, Hunsaker has delivered projects that make a lasting impact on local communities.

Building things has always interested Hunsaker, making it natural for him to pursue a degree in Construction Management from Brigham Young University. After graduating, he worked for a small general contractor and later for one of Big-D’s direct competitors before joining the Lindon team. Over the years, Hunsaker has tackled a diverse range of projects, from Federal and Heavy Industrial work to Medical, Higher Education, and Temple construction. Some of the projects he is most proud to have been a part of include the Kennecott Truck Shop, Long Canyon Mine, and the BYU Music & Arts Buildings.

Hunsaker has also played a key role in establishing new offices in Idaho Falls and St. George, helping strong leaders grow those markets. With revenue growth in recent years, the Lindon Group—including Idaho Falls—is on track to reach nearly $300 million in 2025.

“The great people I work with make this job worth the day-to-day challenges, and I’m so proud of our team and the growth opportunity we see on the horizon,” said Hunsaker.
