iBuild Central Florida is constantly working to help people strike up an interest in construction careers. Now, the nonprofit is taking that love to the lanes. iBuild will host its annual bowling tournament and fundraiser, iBowl for iBuild, to raise funds to support its mission of creating pathways to careers in the skilled trades.
The event will take place from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., Sept. 27, at AMF Altamonte Lanes, 280 Douglas Ave., in Altamonte Springs, Florida. Additionally, there will be a silent auction and 50/50 jackpot drawing.
Registration for individuals and teams is now open, and the organization is still accepting event sponsors. Those interested can SIGN UP HERE.
Why Trades Education matters
iBuild Central Florida is a nonprofit organization that collaborates with over 400 partners to build the workforce development pipeline for the construction industry. The registered 501c3 nonprofit, which started in 2016, collaborates with more than 400 partners. Its No. 1 priority is building the workforce development pipeline for the construction industry.
To help build its foundation, iBuild Central Florida’s pipeline includes K-12 industry exposure, pre-apprenticeship, apprenticeship and re-entry programs.
iBowl for iBuild will support the Frank Bracco Memorial Trade Scholarship Program. This program empowers people to pursue their career in the construction industry by funding tools/boots, training cost, transportation and more.
“iBowl for iBuild is a great chance for those in the construction industry to gather, network and have some fun,” says Debbie Rodriguez, iBuild President. “But it’s also a great way to get out in the community and show what we’re all about—giving people a rewarding career and building our industry with great new talent.”
