Superette Studio, a Providence-based interior design and branding studio with a focus on boutique hospitality, retail, and multifamily, proudly announces that The Lodge at Bodega Bay has been recognized as the No. 1 hotel in the world in the prestigious 2024 Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards. This recognition celebrates the property’s commitment to its guests through an immersive experience, setting a new standard for luxury hospitality.

Repeat client Woodside Hospitality Group tapped Superette to spearhead the brand refresh and the interior design for the hotel’s 1,200-square-foot Captain’s Quarters and 7,200-square-foot guest rooms. Located along California’s picturesque Sonoma Coast, The Lodge at Bodega Bay captures the spirit of its natural surroundings through an immersive design identity that emphasizes comfort, serenity and regional culture. Superette’s interiors and branding included an array of enhancements, from refreshed guest rooms to the introduction of hand-drawn artistic elements and handcrafted furnishings, creating a refined yet relaxed atmosphere that resonates with travelers.

“Our vision for The Lodge at Bodega Bay was to reimagine and elevate this legendary property for longtime guests and welcome a new generation of travelers, romantics, and adventure seekers,” said Sonja Haviland and Haley Mistler, co-founders of Superette Studio. “Seeing our work recognized as the best hotel in the world by Condé Nast Traveler’s readers is an affirmation of our commitment to designing spaces that inspire and delight.”

This achievement is a testament to Superette’s design philosophy, which integrates local artistry, vernacular, and a deep appreciation for the natural environment. The project’s transformation focused on enhancing the property’s coastal charm while introducing sophisticated design details, such as custom millwork, commissioned artwork, and natural materials that evoke the surrounding landscape.

The Readers’ Choice Awards are determined annually based on the feedback of thousands of Condé Nast Traveler readers, making them one of the most prestigious awards in the hospitality industry. The Lodge at Bodega Bay’s top ranking in the 2024 awards reflects the quality of the design and the overall guest experience, which leaves a lasting impression on travelers from around the world.
