Hottest Neighborhoods for Apartment Construction

In RentCafe's latest study, they identify the top neighborhoods for apartment construction in the past 5 years.
Downtowns and hyper-urban locations were the most active construction sites, with Downtown LA and Midtown Atlanta leading the pack.
Here are some data points:

Of the 80K new units completed in the top 20 neighborhoods in our analysis, 6K were in Midtown Atlanta. This is the second highest number of units completed by any neighborhood in the past 5 years after DTLA (10K).
Moreover, a focus on Atlanta reveals that the Midtown neighborhood built 21% of the total number of new apartments that opened in the city since 2017.
The next neighborhoods to have built the most in Atlanta, are Reynoldstown and Home Park, each 1.7K units, while Downtown Atlanta built around 1.2K new apartments.
