Tangram Interiors, a leading provider of workplace furnishings and solutions, has extended a helping hand to those affected by the recent devastating wildfires in Los Angeles.
Through a combination of furniture donations and an organization-wide collection drive, Tangram employees have rallied together to make a meaningful impact on the lives of local students and families in need.
In partnership with Aveson Charter School, Tangram donated over 100 pieces of furniture to help establish a temporary school site. This initiative ensures that 200+ students displaced by the fires can return to a classroom environment, providing a sense of normalcy amidst the chaos. The devastating wildfires destroyed Aveson’s original campus and left 60 families, 13 teachers, and the school’s executive director without homes.
With Tangram’s support, classrooms at the temporary site have been furnished with materials from Tangram’s warehouse, including Steelcase Node chairs and other essential furnishings.
“Community is at the heart of everything we do at Tangram,” said Wendy Meador-Kunert, Business Intelligence Manager and one of the team members who spearheaded the effort. “Knowing that our contributions could make a difference in the lives of these students is deeply rewarding. Seeing their temporary site come to life has been a proud moment for our team.”
In addition to the furniture donations, Tangram employees across all office locations—including Santa Fe Springs, Newport, Central Valley, and Dallas—organized donation drives to collect goods for those affected by the fires. Collected items are being delivered to two highly regarded organizations: the Pasadena/Sierra Madre YMCA and the Sierra Madre Animal Hospital, ensuring that both people and pets in need receive support.
