Spiezle Architectural Group, Inc., an award-winning full-service architectural, engineering, interiors, and design firm, is proud to announce the addition of Associate Principal Damian Huneycutt, AIA, ACHA, to the team. Based in the firm’s Charlotte, North Carolina, office, Huneycutt brings more than 20 years of healthcare design experience, guiding complex projects from concept to completion while exploring construction innovation, prefabrication strategies, and alternative delivery methods. In addition, Damian is certified by the American College of Healthcare Architects (ACHA) for his specialized experience and knowledge, and his commitment to transforming healthcare through better built environments.

Huneycutt is known for his dedication to improving the patient, family, and caregiver experience through efficient, functional, and emotionally intelligent design methods. He has a deep understanding of the day-to-day operations of the Healthcare Sector across numerous states. In addition, Damian is active as an industry speaker at major national thought leadership events, writes for leading industry publications, and mentors staff and the next generation of leaders.

Huneycutt has a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture and Bachelor of Architecture with a focus on Daylighting Design from the University of North Carolina (UNC) at Charlotte. He is an active UNC Charlotte alumnus and has served as a guest juror for student project reviews in professors’ architectural design studios at the university. He is a member of the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards and the American College of Healthcare Architects.
