Skanska, a leading global construction and development firm, announced the promotion of Scott Cannon to the USA Building senior executive team as Regional Executive Officer (REO) for its Southeast region. In this role, Cannon will oversee operations across Florida, Georgia, Ohio, Tennessee, and Texas for Skanska USA Building.

Both an industry and Skanska veteran, Cannon began his career as an intern in 1996 and joined the company a year later as an office engineer in Atlanta. Since then, he has advanced through the ranks serving in various operations and leadership roles in Tennessee, Texas, and Georgia.

“Scott has a strong record of successfully growing and rebuilding markets, driving operational efficiency, optimizing project delivery, and building high-performing teams, said Clay Haden, President and CEO of Skanska USA Building. “I am confident he will continue to deliver for Skanska in this new role.”

For nine years, Cannon has served as executive vice president and general manager for USA Building’s Georgia operations. Under his leadership, the Atlanta-based team has attained substantial growth and completed several high-impact, high-profile projects including the award-winning Kendeda Building for Innovative Sustainable Design at Georgia Tech and the Signia by Hilton Atlanta hotel at the Georgia World Congress Center.
