Sims Crane Expands with New Tampa Bay Location in Florida

 Sims Crane, a leading provider of crane rental and rigging services in the Southeast U.S., has expanded their Florida operations by opening another Tampa Bay area location, this time in Pinellas County.

The company celebrated its continued growth with a grand opening event on Feb. 20 at the new facility, located at 6675 114th Ave. in Largo, Florida.

The event featured an open house, happy hour, and raffle giveaways, which provided industry professionals with the chance to tour the facility, connect with the Sims Crane team, and learn about the services available.

Founded in 1959, Sims Crane has been a prominent force in Florida’s construction industry for more than six decades. The company boasts the largest crane rental fleet in Florida and provides a variety of equipment for heavy lifting and hauling needs in construction and industrial projects.

“This new location in Pinellas County enhances our ability to serve clients throughout west-central Florida,” said Deborah Weber, CEO of Sims Crane. “This is an exciting time for Sims and we remain committed to upholding the values and innovative practices that have defined Sims Crane for more than 60 years.”

The expansion into Pinellas County is part of a broader growth strategy for Sims Crane. Recently, Sims Crane expanded their operations beyond Florida, by establishing a presence in Georgia with a new office in Atlanta.

As of 2025, Sims Crane maintains physical locations in Atlanta, Broward, Ft. Myers, Jacksonville, Lake City, Miami, Mulberry, Ocala, Orlando, Panama City, Pinellas, Space Coast, Tallahassee, Tampa, Vero Beach and West Palm Beach.
