Leading diversified professional services and investment management company Colliers recently brokered a 23,999-square-foot office lease on behalf of Silicon Valley technology private equity firm Accel-KKR at Galleria 300 in Atlanta, Georgia. In a move to expand its current East Coast operations, Accel-KKR will further solidify its commitment to Atlanta once its office relocation is completed in August 2023.
“Atlanta is a strategically located hub with access to all markets on the East Coast,” said Rob Palumbo, co-managing partner of Accel-KKR. “This long-term lease will allow us to accommodate our long-term growth objectives and attract future talent.”
Topping the 2021 HEC – DowJones Private Equity Performance Ranking, Accel-KKR is regarded as a premier technology-focused global private equity firm. Since 2014, the firm has had a presence on the East Coast from an 8,500-square-foot office space in The Medici building in Buckhead, Georgia. Accel-KKR’s expanded footprint at Galleria 300’s Class-A tower will enable the firm to more than triple its current East Coast headcount over time.
Located along major arterials in Atlanta, Galleria 300 will provide employees with a central and easily accessible workplace, and will offer employees and guests elevated amenities and nearby attractions. A short walk away is The Battery, one of Atlanta’s top-ranked entertainment hubs where employees and guests can dine, shop, and enjoy live entertainment at Truist Park and the Coca-Cola Roxy.
Accel-KKR’s sole tenancy on the 19th floor of the 20-story Galleria 300 will also provide the firm with extra security and privacy.
“Cobb County is a value-add market that will continue to rise in popularity, as new or modified developments continue to attract residents and create new business opportunities for the region,” said Andrew Walker, a senior vice president and principal at Colliers and current board member of Cobb County’s economic development team. “With the office expansion of Accel-KKR’s East Coast operations, Cobb County will be put on the map as a top destination for technology companies and decision-makers nationwide.”
Walker represented Accel-KKR during negotiations with Piedmont Office Realty Trust, owner and operator of Galleria 300’s recently renovated 432,934-square-foot property. Other notable tenants include Cumberland Group, The Shopping Center Group, Childress Klein and PowerPlan.
