WHAT: Shawmut Design and Construction will join UMass Chan Medical School to celebrate the topping off construction milestone on the new education and research building on Monday, August 22, at 12:00 p.m. when a signed, ceremonial steel beam will be secured at the highest level on the future $325M state-of-the-art building.
The nine-story, 350,000 square-foot biomedical research and education facility will support more than 70 principal investigators who will be collaborating to improve and expand translational medical research on the Worcester campus.
The celebration will include a speaking program outside the Albert Sherman Center on campus.
