Rosendin Electric raised more than $260,000 for the Navy SEAL Foundation during its 11th Annual Rosendin Golf Classic, continuing a fundraising effort that has generated more than $4 million in support of military members, veterans and their families since 2016.
Held May 21 at Monarch Beach Golf Links in Dana Point, California, the sold-out event brought together more than 180 construction industry professionals for a day of golf, auctions and fundraising. The event opened with a parachute team landing, followed by the National Anthem and a Color Guard presentation by American Legion Newport Harbor Post 291.
Following the tournament, Captain Richard Phillips shared his story of being rescued by U.S. Navy SEALs after Somali pirates hijacked the MV Maersk Alabama in 2009, underscoring the mission of the Navy SEAL Foundation and the importance of supporting the Naval Special Warfare community.
Rosendin’s West Coast Golf Classic began in 2016 under the leadership of David Lincoln, SVP and Navy SEAL Foundation ambassador. The success of the event led to the launch of an East Coast Golf Classic in 2025, with this year’s tournament scheduled for September 21 at TPC Potomac at Avenel Farm in Maryland.
Rosendin’s support for military service members reflects the company’s history. Founded in 1919 by World War I Navy veteran Moses Rosendin, the employee-owned electrical contractor continues to partner with organizations that help veterans transition into civilian careers in the electrical industry, including Overwatch, the National Electrical Contractors Association and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.
The company said proceeds from both golf tournaments directly support Navy SEAL Foundation programs that benefit active-duty personnel, veterans and their families. Sponsors of the West Coast event included Sunbelt Rentals, Champion Fiberglass, United Rentals, Hubbell, Milwaukee Tool and several other industry partners.
