Robins & Morton celebrated the topping out of the new Otto Kaiser Memorial Hospital and Wellness Center on August 14.
The celebration included a tour of the new facilities, allowing guests to walk onto the construction site for the first time since the construction began in December of 2014. Otto Kaiser board members Margie Tamez, Richard Robinson, Rita Jordan and Board President David Purser welcomed the public to sign the beam that was lifted onto the building, as well as pillars inside the future hospital lobby.  The final beam was adorned with a traditional American flag and an evergreen tree symbolizing best wishes for the future occupants, continued growth, a safe job and the important achievement in the building’s construction. More than 100 guests attended the event, including hospital staff, local chambers of commerce representatives, and city and county officials.
The facility is slated to open spring 2016 and will feature inpatient and outpatient surgery clinical departments, a level four trauma center, physical therapy services, an imaging department, recovery rooms, an endoscopy suite and central sterile supply.
“We have been very pleased with the ongoing project and want to thank our partners at Robins & Morton for the hard work and commitment that they have put into this facility along with our staff who has worked hard to make patient care a priority in this time of transition,” CEO of Otto Kaiser Memorial Hospital David Lee said.

The topping out celebration included a ceremony, facility tours and a beam signing.
The final beam of Otto Kaiser Memorial Hospital is adorned with an American flag and an evergreen tree as it is lifted into place, signaling the building’s structural completion.
