RLJ Lodging acquires Houston tower complex for $79.5M

RLJ Lodging Trust announced its purchase of the Humble Oil Building complex in Houston for $79.5 million. The landmark complex is composed of three structures -- the 171-room Residence Inn Houston Downtown Convention Center, the 191-room Courtyard Houston Downtown Convention Center and an apartment building. RLJ says it plans to convert the apartment building into a SpringHill Suites hotel with 166 rooms. Read the American City Business Journals story here.
