Pulp Studio Showcases Premium Glass at Beverly Hills Club

Pulp Studio, the leading fabricator of technically advanced architectural decorative glass, has expanded its project repertoire with the addition of Gravitas, a members only private club in Beverly Hills, Calif. This striking project features Pulp Studio’s architectural glass throughout numerous spaces, including the entryway, dining area and conference rooms, demonstrating Pulp’s exceptional versatility and commitment to design excellence for all clients.

“Gravitas is a true showcase of Pulp Studio’s diversity in applications and craftsmanship,” states Kirk Johnson, Chief Executive Officer of Pulp Studio. “Our glass was featured across multiple interior and exterior spaces in this project, highlighting not only the range of our capabilities, but also the premium quality of our work. Pulp Studio’s artisans undergo years of training to master the artistry and dexterity Pulp glass is known for, ensuring its place in distinguished, high-end environments like these.”

The entrance of Gravitas features neutral gray reflective glass that creates a modern aesthetic. Pulp Studio supplied nine panels of ¼” low iron glass, which is laminated with a custom-colored interlayer, producing the bold red and sleek gray reflections. With 20% visible light transmission, the glass maintains privacy while reducing heat and glare.

Inside the club, Pulp Studio supplied 150 pieces of two-layer laminated ¼” bronze glass for the stair handrails that overlook the restaurant space. For the conference room, SwitchLite Privacy Glass™️ was installed to enhance privacy. Utilizing Pulp Studio’s proprietary technology, SwitchLite allows users to effortlessly and conveniently shift the glass between opaque and transparent, making the space both intimate and practical.

Gravitas offers its members an unmatched experience – blending extraordinary culinary experiences, impeccable service and exclusive networking opportunities. This prestigious venue boasts a bespoke, sophisticated design where every detail is thoughtfully customized for the unique uses of the spaces in the club. From an open-air dining area to private conference rooms and game lounges, Gravitas showcases one-of-a-kind artistry, setting a new precedent in luxury hospitality.

Gravitas is another example of Pulp Studio’s expertise in combining technical solutions with premium style for high-end hospitality and retail spaces. Other notable projects include a Van Cleef & Arpels boutique in Miami, Fl. and Komodo in Las Vegas, Nev. – each highlighting Pulp Studio’s exceptional dedication to superior design quality.

About Pulp Studio

Founded in 1996, Pulp Studio passionately advocates for the creative use of glass as a building element. From the beginning, the brand’s defining mission is to fill the void in the market for innovative uses of glass in interior and façade projects. Pulp Studio combines technical prowess with design sensibility; creating products that reside at the intersection of fashion and function.

Pulp Studio employs craftspeople, artists, scientists, and inventors who view working with glass as an artistic endeavor – their medium being glass. The company’s capabilities include bending, hand-color coating, laser etching, glass carving, screen print imaging, drilling, notching, and a patented system for uniformly illuminating panels using high-intensity LEDs. Every project is another opportunity for Pulp Studio to further enrich the idea of “custom” by delivering products that are superior in design and functionality. One of the company’s insulated glass products, Ombra™ achieves a solar heat gain coefficient superior to that of other insulated glass units, dramatically reducing climate control requirements and providing significant energy savings over the life of a building.

Working in collaboration with architects and design studios, Pulp Studio’s products have been used in numerous high-profile projects including: Moynihan Station, New York, N.Y., the Space Needle in Seattle, W.A., David Geffen Hall at the Lincoln Center in New York, N.Y., the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach, C.A., Wilshire Grand in downtown Los Angeles, C.A. and the Gores Group Headquarters in Beverly Hills, C.A.
