Plamondon Hospitality Partners, headquartered in Frederick, Maryland, is excited to announce the opening of their newest dual-branded hotels, Fairfield and TownePlace Suites by Marriott in Grovetown, Georgia.

Peter Plamondon, Jr., Co-President of Plamondon Hospitality Partners, stated, “We’re thrilled to bring this dual-branded Marriott experience to the Grovetown community. We originally entered the Georgia market in 2016 with the Home2 Suites by Hilton Grovetown to support local tourism and businesses with our award-winning hospitality services. With these two new hotels under the Marriott brand, we look forward to continuing to provide an unparalleled hospitality experience for our guests and associates alike.”

A ribbon cutting ceremony was held on Tuesday, December 3rd with local business and government representatives in attendance to show their support, including the Columbia County Chamber of Commerce and its members, the Columbia County Economic Development team, and the local American Red Cross chapter.

During the event, Plamondon Hospitality Partners donated $2,000 to the American Red Cross East Central Georgia Chapter for Hurricane Helene recovery efforts. Plamondon Hospitality and the Red Cross have worked together for over 20 years in Maryland and will continue that relationship in Georgia.

The Fairfield and TownePlace Suites by Marriott Grovetown is the second dual-branded property that Plamondon Hospitality Partners has in its portfolio with the other located in Altoona, Pennsylvania.

“We strategically designed this location using the dual-branded model to provide guests with a variety of options for their lodging needs,” said Michael Henningsen, Executive Vice President of Hotel Operations. “Grovetown is experiencing economic growth with new construction, including the Wellstar Columbia County Medical Center, and established business from Fort Eisenhower and local sports tournament venues. The Fairfield and TownePlace Suites by Marriott combination strikes the right balance of transient lodging capabilities and extended stay amenities, and perfectly complements our Home2 Suites by Hilton Grovetown location.”

Leading the team for the Fairfield and TownePlace Suites by Marriott is General Manager Matt Ricker, who brings over three decades of hospitality experience including two years at the nearby Plamondon Hospitality Partners Home2 Suites. “I’m very excited to be part of the team at Fairfield and TownePlace Suites by Marriott,” Matt said. “The hotels themselves are incredibly beautiful and inviting for guests, and I’m proud of our associates who bring unparalleled service every day.”

As with any Plamondon Hospitality Partners property, the Grovetown hotels will continue the company’s tradition of bringing quality service and new employment opportunities to the area. This family-owned organization’s roots began with Roy Rogers restaurants more than 40 years ago, and their hotel division began in 1996 when the company opened Fairfield Inn by Marriott Frederick. Now, they operate 16 properties in three states and are the largest hotel operator in central Maryland. Their company mission, emphasizing family, safety, community, education, and guest experience, has created a company culture that’s earned numerous awards and accolades for delivering a consistent, high-quality experience for guests and associates alike.

Located in Frederick, Maryland, the Plamondon Companies is comprised of Plamondon Hospitality Partners, a hotel management and development company, and affiliates Plamondon Enterprises Inc and the Roy Rogers Franchise Company LLC, which owns Roy Rogers Restaurants, the western-themed, quick- service restaurant chain. Plamondon Hospitality Partners includes Marriott, Hilton, Holiday Inn Express properties in Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Georgia.
