Nudo Products, Inc. is pleased to announce that its Endurex™ 555, a high impact hurricane exterior architectural panel, has received the Miami-Dade County, Florida Notice of Acceptance (NOA) number 14-0211.07. Testing and certification for Miami-Dade County approvals let architects, specifiers, buyers and Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) know that products meet the unique requirements for a hurricane prone area. The Miami-Dade specification has been used as a design basis for coastal U.S. projects from Texas to New York.
As a leader in architectural panel design, Nudo utilizes an engineered product made of a lightweight, yet exceptionally strong, composite material that outperforms other products in the market. As a result, the Endurex 555 panel offers several benefits over its steel constructed counter parts. Unlike steel based products, the unique lightweight stabilizer properties of Endurex 555 make job site cutting and handling easier; thereby allowing for faster installation. Endurex 555 maintains a non-directional panel installation with stabilizers impervious to moisture. Therefore, no risk of wicking hardboard or galvanic corrosion exists. In addition, the thin, stronger than steel stabilizer, allows for higher R-Values.
Bruce Olszewski, Nudo’s Director of Business Development for Exterior Architectural Panels stated, “Nudo has long been a leader in the laminated panel industry. Attaining the Florida NOA for Endurex 555 is the final step in the impact panel approval process. The Endurex 555 provides superior performance, in conjunction with easier and faster installation, for high impact applications, all without compromising aesthetics.”
The achievement of receiving the stringent Miami-Dade County Product Control approval means that the Endurex 555 panel passed all the moisture, structural and impact testing. With this approval, Nudo’s customers can depend on the Endurex 555 panel to withstand the architectural performance requirements necessary in hurricane weather conditions.
