McCarthy Building Companies Inc., one of America’s premier builders, recently announced the promotion of Mark Allnutt to vice president of McCarthy’s Southeast Division. Allnutt will oversee business development, office administration, virtual design & construction (VDC) and will assist in McCarthy’s preconstruction services. Additionally, he will continue to oversee some of McCarthy’s most prominent health care clients in the Southeast Division.
Prior to his appointment to vice president, Allnutt served as project director and primary point of contact for a number of McCarthy projects and held overall responsibility for McCarthy’s preconstruction and construction services. His unique ability to understand the complexities of hospital design and construction have proven to be a critical asset to clients when planning projects.
“Mark has proven to be a great leader over the past nine years at McCarthy,” said Kevin Kuntz, president of McCarthy Southeast. “His strong project management background and long-standing experience in hospital design and construction has enabled him to build strong client relations, which makes him the ideal candidate to fill this critical position on our team.”
A graduate of the University of Florida’s Rinker School of Construction Management, Allnutt has spent the majority of his 25-year construction career managing large health care projects. With clients like Emory Healthcare, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, Piedmont Hospital and WellStar, he has helped build some of the most significant health care facilities in the Atlanta area.
