Recent recognition by the United States Green Building Council (USGBC) once again confirms what builders, engineers and architects have long known: Kalwall provides them with the most advanced technologies in the world to fulfill their own visions of creating better and more green buildings.
Kalwall is up for three awards in the USGBC’s Best of Build Awards: Best Product for Energy Efficiency, Best product for Exteriors, and Best Product Manufacturer of the Year (Small to Midsize). Best of Building awards are part of the USGBC’s initiative to “celebrate the year’s best green products, projects, organizations and individuals making impact in green building.”
Voting among USGBC members for the Best of Building awards runs from August 4-22.
One of the more recent projects Kalwall and strategic partner Structures Unlimited were involved in was the Center for Lifelong Learning in Parlin, N.J., which was the first New Jersey public school and the first special needs school in the country to reach the USGBC’s Platinum level. The center was ranked among the top 20 greenest schools in the nation by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
