Alfonso joins the MCAA with a strong background in computer science and a passion for leveraging technology to drive industry advancements.

Alfonso Napoles, a recent graduate of Northwestern University with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, brings a wealth of experience in software development and AI integration. His previous roles include an Enterprise Architect Intern at Argonne National Laboratory, where he collaborated on AI system models and processes, and a freelance software developer, where he honed his skills in client communication and project management.

“Alfonso is the perfect candidate for this new role,” said Dan Kamys, Director of Content at MCAA. “His enthusiasm and education make him the perfect fit for our mission to advance the masonry industry through technology. Alfonso will be a key to the future of the MCAA and masonry industry. We can’t wait to see how GEORGE continues to grow as a result.”

As Innovation Coordinator, Alfonso will support the Content and Technology teams in enhancing the GEORGE AI system, a proprietary platform designed to revolutionize the masonry industry. GEORGE offers a suite of AI Assistants, including real-time Spanish translation and safety-related tools, aimed at improving productivity and efficiency on job sites.

“I am honored to join the MCAA as Innovation Coordinator,” said Alfonso Napoles. “This role presents an incredible opportunity to work at the intersection of technology and industry, and I am eager to contribute to the development of GEORGE and other innovative projects. I look forward to collaborating with the MCAA team and our members to develop impactful tools.”

This appointment is part of MCAA’s ongoing initiatives, including the Masonry Alliance Program for suppliers, the innovative GEORGE AI system, the MASONRY STRONG Podcast, and our expanding team. These efforts underscore MCAA’s commitment to leading the masonry industry into a new era of growth and innovation.
