Industry mourns passing of Max Rhodes

Max-Rhodes-1923-2013-A
Commercial Construction & Renovation gives us sympathy to the Max Rhodes family. Rhodes founded ELRO SIGNS in 1947 with his father, Ernst. ELRO was the first in California and one of the first in the United States to use translucent acrylic in electrical signs. It originally was relied on by most West Coast national sign companies to produce acrylic sign faces and letters. The company has expanded to be a leading national sign company, and continues to this day. Rhodes is survived by his wife of 57 years, three children, and seven grandchildren.
