LSI Flooring has announced a comprehensive refresh of its Unsquashable™ High Density Polyurethane Padding line, delivering upgraded performance, sustainability certifications, and new specification options purpose-built for commercial construction and hospitality environments. The updated line now carries UL GREENGUARD Gold Indoor Air Quality Certification® and CRI Green Label Plus certification, confirming suitability for use in schools, healthcare facilities, hospitality spaces, and other occupied commercial environments. Products in the collection also contribute toward multiple LEED credits, directly supporting the sustainability and indoor environmental quality goals of architects, designers, and general contractors.
For commercial and hospitality project specifiers, the line’s two flagship contract cushions have been significantly upgraded:
LSI 300™ has been returned to its original 12 lbs. density — engineered for heavy commercial and hospitality use — and repositioned with more competitive contract market pricing. The product is now produced in light grey to facilitate easy field identification.
LSI 101™ maintains its industry-leading 16 lbs. density and is designed for extreme heavy-duty installations, including areas subject to rolling cart traffic — a critical requirement in hospitality corridors, convention spaces, and healthcare settings. LSI 101™ is now produced in light grey and repositioned at a premium tier reflecting its unmatched durability.

According to LSI’s internal analysis, both products demonstrate significantly stronger tensile strength and resilience compared to competing cushions, handling substantially higher compression loads while maintaining lower smoke density ratings and is Class I fire rated — an important consideration in commercial specifications. Both the LSI 101™ and LSI 300™ are widely used in conventional and double-stick commercial and hospitality installations globally.
The refreshed line also introduces antimicrobial protection across all products, making them hypoallergenic and resistant to conditions that aggravate asthma or allergies. LSI is simultaneously introducing new advanced warranties across the Unsquashable™ line, providing commercial specifiers, contractors, and design professionals added confidence for demanding installations. Full specification documentation and warranty details have been released alongside updated product spec sheets and technical materials.
LSI Flooring manufactures all Unsquashable™ products entirely in the United States, with inventory stocked in Georgia. The company serves flooring contractors and installers, flooring retailers and buying groups, to-the-trade showrooms, and flooring sundries distributors. Larry Lane, President of LSI Flooring, represents the third generation in the carpet and rug padding industry, previously owning Rug Hold Company, later acquired by Vantage Industries and Leggett & Platt. These products were initially conceived by Daltonian Flooring in 1984; LSI acquired Daltonian’s Padding Division in 2022. “These improvements further strengthen the performance advantage of Unsquashable™ padding products,” said Lane. “Our goal is simple — deliver the strongest, most resilient carpet cushion in the industry while helping our customers grow their businesses.”
A Note to the Industry: Beware of Unsquashable™ Imposters
The flooring industry should be aware that imitation products have begun appearing in the market. Only LSI Flooring’s Unsquashable™ Padding products are from the original Daltonian patented high density polyurethane cushion. All others are imposters. If you don’t see the Unsquashable™ Padding logo, it’s not the real thing. LSI encourages retailers, installers, contractors, and specifiers to look for the Unsquashable™ logo on all packaging and product materials to ensure they are receiving the genuine, certified, and warranted product.
