Hunter J. Loftin, PE, has joined EBA Engineering, Inc. (EBA) as a Senior Project Manager in the firm’s Civil/Site Engineering department. In his new role, Loftin will help expand the firm’s water resources and water/wastewater service offerings.
Loftin has 33 years of experience providing civil engineering, water resources, and environmental consulting services to a wide range of federal, state, and local government clients. He is an expert in addressing wet weather flows and restoring degraded sites.
“Hunt combines engineering and environmental practices to rehabilitate urban and natural spaces,” says EBA President Rizwan Siddiqi, PE. “His background includes hydraulic modeling of pollutant transport in surface and ground water. He is well experienced in preparing complex designs for remediation of echo systems, assisting contractor selection and providing oversight during construction to manage remediation.”
Loftin has managed Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) and Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) programs, developed stormwater utilities, worked with communities to draft stormwater and floodplain regulations, and designed green infrastructure solutions for new development and ultra-urban retrofits.
Loftin earned bachelor’s degrees in both civil engineering and botany and wildlife conservation from the University of Maryland. He received his master’s degree in civil engineering from The George Washington University and has a master’s certificate in project management from the University of Pittsburgh. He is a licensed professional engineer in Maryland.
