Kirei, a provider of innovative, sustainable acoustic design materials for commercial interiors, announces four new additions to its acoustic panel portfolio: Column, Curtain, Nalu, and Umi distributed by Kirei, the four panels span two design directions: dramatic 3D-formed profiles and subtle textures inspired by the movement of water, giving designers room to match acoustic performance to fit the mood of any space.
Column and Curtain, part of Kirei’s 3D Formed range, stand 9 feet tall and feature deeply sculpted surfaces with embedded air gaps for enhanced acoustic absorption. Column’s peaks and troughs echo the rhythmic symmetry of classical architecture. Curtain’s undulating surface ripples across the wall, creating a continuous pattern. Both Column and Curtain are available in eight different colorways and can be installed with a floor-to-ceiling join.
Nalu and Umi join the Embossed Panel Series with organic, flowing textures. Umi (“sea” in Japanese) features an elusive, scooped convex profile that evokes the quiet swell of ocean movement. Nalu (“wave” in Hawaiian) takes a bolder approach. Its sculptural embossed surface captures the fluid motion of water smoothing over sand, adding dimension to ceilings and walls. Both have a flat back for straightforward installation on walls and ceilings. Each is finished with a colored Mura surface, with Nalu available in 19 colorways and Umi in 25.

Column and Curtain achieve NRC ratings of 0.65 and 0.60 in direct-mount applications, while Nalu and Umi reach up to 0.75 NRC when paired with acoustic backing, giving designers flexibility to dial in performance based on project needs. All four panels contain 50% post-consumer recycled PET and carry a Declare Label, are Red List Free, and pass CDPH VOC emissions testing.
