Thermocromex™, a high-performance, limestone plaster cladding, can be applied to virtually any substrate including CMU, frame/sheathing, tilt wall, poured-in-place concrete and lightweight blocks/cement.
It delivers a vibrant, permanent finish requiring no other coloring or topcoat. Only non-fading inorganic pigments are used, and the finish is both weatherproof and breathable. Minimal maintenance is required to preserve the original appearance, year after year.
Thermocromex can also be specified in multiple colors replicating the look of natural stone and precast stone/concrete… which never have to be recolored for the life of the building. Extensive custom colors are also available. It can be seamlessly applied, achieving almost any texture, including smooth finishes. Additionally, it comes pre-mixed, for ease of installation. Thermocromex doesn’t develop shrinkage cracks like other materials. The superior formulation is backed by a comprehensive 20-year performance warranty which covers keeping out rain, delamination and much more.
Thermocromex is cost-comparable to EIFS or stucco. The finish, which requires extremely low maintenance, incorporates non-fading pigments with a 1,000-year life expectancy.
A very “green” material, buildings which specify Thermocromex are eligible to receive LEED v4: potential 45 points in 8 categories. The amount of energy used during the production stage is a quarter of that needed to produce Portland cement. Where harsh weather and/or pollution destroys the appearance of many exterior materials and finishes, Thermocromex not only remains unfazed, it also preserves the environment with the use of natural components and importantly, contains no harmful VOC ’s. And, the use of Thermocromex avoids 70-75% of the global warming potential of Portland cement. It is a highly recyclable product, as well.
Thermocromex™ is marketed in the United States, Central America and The Caribbean by Southwest Progressive Enterprises, Inc., a member of the U.S. Green Building Council and a leading provider of Seamless Stone Wall Finishes for over 25 years. Website: www.thermocromex.com.
