Anne Beiler started selling pretzels at a farm stand in 1988 to support her husband’s career goals, and Auntie Anne’s had grown into a thriving franchise by the time she sold it in 2005. Today, the chain owned by Focus Brands has more than 1,500 locations in the United States and 30 other countries, with plans to grow by about 60 units a year.
