The U.S. hotel pipeline reached 206,000 rooms in July, its highest level since the 211,000-plus of 2007, with smaller and more upscale properties increasing their share, STR reports. Among other figures, he notes that Hilton Hotels, Marriott International and InterContinental Hotels Group account for 75% of the coming inventory, a dramatic rise in portion.
