Eaton Fine Art, a full-service, Austin-based art consultancy firm, proudly announces its latest pro-bono collaboration with Project Transitions, a local nonprofit dedicated to supporting individuals living with HIV through housing, comprehensive support services, recuperative care, and hospice. Eaton Fine Art curated an uplifting art collection for the newly opened Burnet Place apartment complex, which provides a welcoming and inspiring environment for its residents.
Established in 1988, Project Transitions emerged during the height of the HIV/AIDS epidemic, a time when there was a critical need for specialized care and housing for those affected by the disease. The organization was founded to offer a safe, stable living environment for people living with HIV/AIDS, who often faced discrimination, social isolation, and a lack of resources. One of the organization’s most impactful initiatives is Burnet Place, a 61-unit housing development designed to offer residents a secure place to live and essential support services that enhance their quality of life.

“Project Transitions has always been about more than just housing—it’s about offering hope and compassion to those who need it most,” said Susan Campion, Board Member of Project Transitions. “Our work with the Burnet Place project is a step forward in providing a safe, supportive environment for individuals facing the dual challenges of homelessness and HIV/AIDS. However, we can only continue to grow and evolve with the help of our community. Every contribution fuels our mission, allowing us to bring dignity, stability, and care to those we serve.”
With a focus on partnering with local Austin artists, Eaton Fine Art curated a collection that enhances Burnet Place’s common areas and walkways with vibrant, positive artwork. Residents are welcomed on the first floor by a vibrant abstract floral painting in the entryway, complemented by additional art depicting florals, a serene koi pond and local iconic locations. The corridors throughout the building feature tranquil landscape artwork, curated to evoke a sense of calm. On the second floor, a soothing collection of art inspired by flora and fauna lines the hallway, while the third floor continues the theme with floral artworks curated to inspire. In the Community Room, a captivating mixed-media creation serves as the focal point, adding a striking visual element to the space. “Our goal was to bring warmth, joy, and inspiration to the residents and visitors of Burnet Place, sparking creativity and uplifting the spirit of the community,” said Terry Eaton, President & Chief Curator at Eaton Fine Art.
Eaton Fine Art’s longstanding support of Project Transitions dates back over two decades to their first pro-bono initiative, when they curated and donated an art collection for Doug’s House, another Project Transitions facility. Since then, Eaton Fine Art Co-Founders Terry Eaton and Robert Williams have remained committed to the organization’s mission, co-hosting the popular “Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner” fundraising events for over 18 years.
