Heavy Smokers: 10 Tips On Vaping

Knowing where to begin can be tough if you want to quit smoking and switch to vaping. The familiar sensation of lighting up a cigarette is as much a part of the habit as the nicotine itself, yet it is not an impossible task.

Before switching to vaping, you must know the crucial terminology of the vaping world- DTL vs. MTL.
One of the first acronyms you'll come across in the vaping world is MTL vs. DTL, which describes the two vaping styles. MTL is an abbreviation for "mouth to lung," which is the same process as smoking. It occurs when you draw some vapor into your mouth and inhale it into your lungs. This type has a much tighter inhale and produces less vapor.
DTL stands for "direct to lung." The inhale is much looser and bypasses the mouth to be inhaled directly into the lungs. It's a much deeper inhalation, similar to how you'd imagine someone using an inhaler.
DTL leverages a high-quality Vape pens to produce a lot more vapor, so if you see someone on the street blowing huge clouds, it's because they were doing this. Moreover, such devices allow users to customize their vape experience, producing exceptional results.
Once familiar with the technique, you must implement the following tips when vaping.

1.      Understand Battery Safety

Even if you're using a regulated mod, it's always a good idea to ensure your battery is vape-safe. Learn about battery safety, and never use a battery with a ripped wrapper. Also, ensure you understand Ohm's Law and get a battery with a higher amperage draw rating than the current you'll be drawing from.

2.      Check Your Battery Connection for E-Juice Build-Up

It is one of the most essential vaping tips, so remember to check your battery connection for e-juice buildup. If you don't, you risk having poor vaping performance and even a fried mod. Unscrew your tank from your battery/mod to clean your battery connection. Then, using a cloth or cotton swab, remove any e juice that has made its way inside. Don't forget to clean out the tank's connector as well.

3.      Replace Your Coils When They Begin to Taste Sour

While some of you may already know this, many new and inexperienced vapers are unaware. The coil, made of metal wire and cotton, is the part of your vape that sits inside the tank. The cotton absorbs the e-juice while the metal wire heats and evaporates it.
While some coils can last up to three weeks, others may only last a week or less. It generally depends on the brand and type of coil you use, the type of e-juice, and the amount of sweetener present, among other things.

4.      Purchase Your E-Juice and Hardware from a Reputable Vendor

With the popularity of vaping skyrocketing in recent years, there is no shortage of people attempting to cash in on the hype. If you're not careful, you could end up with low-quality, even dangerous, counterfeit products and e-juices that perform nowhere near as well as the original.
Even if they do, is it worth the risk of inhaling something you don't know how it was made? Counterfeits can be appealing due to their low prices. However, they are cheap, and their manufacturing and safety standards are unquestionably lower than purchasing genuine products.

5.      Use an External Battery Charger to Charge Your Batteries

If you forget your external charger, it's fine to charge your batteries in your mod temporarily, but don't make it a habit.
While your mod's built-in USB port may appear to be the obvious way to charge your batteries, it may not fully charge them. Furthermore, external battery chargers are generally better ventilated, resulting in better heat dissipation and, as a result, a longer battery lifespan.
A good and genuine battery charger is just as crucial as your batteries, so don't skimp! Investing in an external charger and quality batteries is worth the extra battery longevity and peace of mind.

6.      Prepare Your Coils by Poking Tiny Holes in the Cotton

Priming your coils is something you should do. It entails saturating your coils with e-liquid and allowing it to soak in. Try this instead of screwing on your new coil and filling your tank.

7.      Keep a Small Cloth or Paper Towel for Leaks

Believe it; you don't want to be stuck with spilled e-juice and nothing to clean it up with. Keeping a small cloth or paper towel on hand at all times is something strongly advised. Accidents happen, and because e-liquid is oily, you'll be glad you have something on hand to clean up any minor leaks or spills.

8.      Bring Your Supplies

You don't have to bring every vaping accessory, mod, and e-juice you own, but having a few extras on hand can be very useful.

9.      Don't Be Afraid to Experiment

Vaping's endless possibilities and combinations of mods, tanks, and e-juices are part of what makes it so enjoyable, so don't be afraid to experiment!

10. Drink Lots of Water

You may develop a sore throat, headache, or vapers tongue if you do not drink enough water while vaping. Considering vaping dehydrates you, you'll need to drink more water to compensate. You won't have any issues if you stay hydrated and manage your water intake based on how much you vape.

Conclusion

With advancements in technology, bidding goodbye to smoking has become far more manageable. With advanced e-cigarettes taking over the markets, one can quickly leave smoking and opt to vape. Identify the kits and e-liquids you are using in your vapes to dispose of the habit of smoking.
