Al Mejia was recently named vice president and general manager of Hart & Cooley. In the role, Mejia will lead the continued success of Hart & Cooley’s sales, operations and HVAC product development, including grilles, registers and diffusers, flexible ducting, venting and access doors.
Hart & Cooley, founded in 1901, was the first company in the United States to manufacture warm-air registers from stamped steel, a product line that gained almost instant success. “Al’s experience and proven track record in product innovation and manufacturing excellence will continue a long history of success for both brands,” said Rod Rushing, vice president and general manager, Products and Distribution North America, Johnson Controls.
“I’m dedicated to building a business of engaged employees who are customer-focused and committed to innovation, operational excellence, continuous improvement, and execution,” said Mejia.
Mejia has held global leadership and business development roles at Actuant, Rexnord and Pentair, and engineering management positons with General Cable and Andrew Corporation.
