The new AC Hotel Gainesville Downtown, a modern 144-room property in the heart of Gainesville, Fla., is nearing completion and is slated to open in early 2018. Located just a Heisman’s throw from Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, more popularly known as “The Swamp,” the property will be managed by Concord Hospitality and marks the third AC Hotel in Florida and the first outside of Miami. Georgia DOT joins 11 states requiring e-Ticketing in 2026

The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) has launched a statewide e-Ticketing initiative—starting in 2026, all contractors will be required to use e-Ticketing under Section 110 of GDOT specifications. As a first step, GDOT has implemented a dual-ticketing pilot—TruckIT, which requires both paper and electronic tickets.
