FK Architecture, a Fugleberg Koch Company, is pleased to announce that Kelly Dawson, AIA, has been elected to the board of AIA Orlando as Treasurer. Dawson will oversee the Chapter’s financial affairs, budgeting, and overall financial strategies. Dawson brings over two decades of experience in architecture and design surrounding historic renovation, hospitality, multi-family, health care, corporate, and education projects. Dawson previously served as a Director at Large for the organization.  

“It’s been a great year serving AIA Orlando in 2022, and I look forward to contributing as Treasurer,” says Dawson. “AIA Orlando is an incredible and enriching organization, filled with diverse leaders. I’ve made wonderful connections with passionate individuals who advance our industry. I wouldn’t be in this position if it were not for them and FK Architecture, who has supported me along the way.” 

Dawson is an accomplished, goal-oriented professional specializing in project management, architectural design, and implementation. She has worked in several states and boasts an array of transferable skills such as strategic planning, client relations, problem-solving, and project oversight. She received her Bachelor of Architecture from Kansas State University. Throughout her 20+ year career, her focus on safety, practicality, and design helped her stand out amongst her peers in Florida, Missouri, and Iowa.
