Employees want short commutes to office location


Working in an office a 5 minute walk from Starbucks is far less appealing to employees than a short commute home.
Employees want offices near their homes.
Yet, employees also report that their offices are least likely to be near their home compared to other features like restaurants and coffee shops: https://clutch.co/real-estate/resources/things-employees-want-office-location
Clutch’s new report emphasizes the need to build offices in areas that are centrally located and easily accessible from residential areas.
We find that most employees report having a commute of less than 30 minutes – but 16% commute more than 45 minutes.
