Eastern Outfitters will shutter some Eastern Mountain Sports and Bob’s Stores as part of a plan for UK-based Sports Direct International to acquire the US retailer, according to bankruptcy court documents, The Wall Street Journal reports. The 86-store regional chain filed for bankruptcy protection in February, with the Sports Direct deal already negotiated.
