The premier event in commissioning, energy management, and building analytics and diagnostics, CxEnergy 2025, announced its technical program & keynote today. The event takes place April 28 – May 1, 2025, in Charlotte, NC at the Le Meridien Charlotte.

Bobby and Kristin Labonte will present this year’s keynote, titled “The Fortitude of a Champion.” In this presentation, Bobby, a NASCAR Hall of Famer, and Kristin, a champion cyclist, will share experiences from throughout their sports and professional careers that highlight resiliency, winning and losing, and getting up after being knocked down. Through these stories, the Labontes will discuss how they developed resilience, courage, confidence, and, above all else, fortitude.

CxEnergy draws hundreds of the nation’s leading commissioning experts, energy management professionals, MEP engineers, HVAC testing professionals, facility managers and building owners. Presentation topics include:

CxEnergy technical presentation attendees earn AIA (LU/HSW or LU), USGBC LEED General Education, CxA and EMP continuing education credits for presentations. These credits are widely applicable for other certifications and professional licenses (attendees should check with their certification or licensing body).

CxEnergy offers pre-conference certification workshops and seminars for the Certified Commissioning Authority (CxA) and Energy Management Professional (EMP) certifications. Georgia DOT joins 11 states requiring e-Ticketing in 2026

The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) has launched a statewide e-Ticketing initiative—starting in 2026, all contractors will be required to use e-Ticketing under Section 110 of GDOT specifications. As a first step, GDOT has implemented a dual-ticketing pilot—TruckIT, which requires both paper and electronic tickets.
