CertainTeed®, a leading North American manufacturer of sustainable building materials, is proud to announce the addition of RoofRunner® AIR to its line of innovative roofing products to the Canadian market. RoofRunner AIR is a breathable synthetic roof underlayment with a multilayer coated structure that promotes rapid roof deck drying.Created with both contractors and homeowners in mind, RoofRunner AIR was designed with unique permeable layers that allow moisture to pass through to help prevent mold, rot, and structural damage overtime. The product is made for use on roof decks as a water-resistant layer beneath asphalt roofing shingles, helping to maintain a dry and healthy roof deck. In comparison to other offerings in the marketplace, RoofRunner AIR has a flexible grip to the deck, helping to reduce the chance for fastener pulls as installers maneuver on the roof during shingle installation.“At CertainTeed, we are passionate in developing innovative solutions that contribute to the overall durability and sustainability of a home,” said Julie Short, Market Manager at CertainTeed. “When combined with proper attic ventilation, breathable underlayments like RoofRunner AIR can aid the longevity and integrity of the roofing system. CertainTeed’s industry leading portfolio of roofing products allow peace of mind for both the contractor and homeowner.”Contractors are able to easily and safely install a full CertainTeed roofing system that meets code specification requirements. This breathable underlayment has 4-layers for optimal durability, but is still a lighter weight synthetic at 35 lbs (16 kgs) per roll. RoofRunner AIR is backed by a limited lifetime warranty.RoofRunner AIR recently launched at the The 9th Annual Saint-Gobain Architectural Symposium, an exclusive event offering relevant Continuing Education Units, product information, demonstrations and thought leadership to the Canadian architectural and design community.RoofRunner AIR is currently available in all Canadian provinces.
