Part of what makes cities so appealing is their cultural and artistic vibrancy – and San Francisco is a prime example of that. Suffolk, a national construction company, is working to further beatify the city by turning over the wrap on construction fences to local BIPOC artists to create community murals.
These fences are no longer just boundaries. They’re now spaces that amplifies community members’ talents, voices, and power.
Most recently, Bay Area Mural Program (BAMP) turned the Suffolk scrim outside its Market Street project into a beautiful mural that reflected the unique stories and culture in Northern California.
The piece, “Dreaming, From the Fillmore Hunters Point,” was the vision of artists Rachael Wolfe-Goldsmith, Zoë Adiah Boston and Shogun Shido.
