Arriscraft, manufacturer of naturally-made products that emulate quarried stone, has compiled Seamless Texture files for use in Autodesk® AutoCAD® and SketchUp. These image files can be downloaded, scaled and applied using these programs to achieve more accurate building models.
Arriscraft is the stone products group of General Shale, the North American subsidiary of Wienerberger AG and a leading manufacturer of brick, one of the world’s oldest green building materials.
The Arriscraft Technical Services Department has augmented its Hatch Pattern line art collection to include Seamless Texture images. These colorized, repeatable images can be used for more realistic modeling in Autodesk® AutoCAD® and SketchUp. While Hatch Patterns (line drawings) also show bond patterns and the scale of stone, these Seamless Texture files add the element of color and depth for a more realistic representation of the stone.
Each Seamless Texture image is a section of actual product photography (representing approximately 3’ in width) and is repeatable over any area. (The Installation Instruction PDF files provide tables for proper scaling, on a product-by-product basis.) The photographs capture the stone textures and depth variations. Texture files are now available on www.arriscraft.com for the very popular Renaissance® Masonry Units (in all colors and several bond patterns) and for the most popular Building Stone products in all colors.
Designers are able to request automatic updates to this Technical Library online, as new products and colors become available.
