Armistead Mechanical, Inc. Services, a provider of mechanical construction, engineering and HVAC contracting services throughout the New Jersey/New York area, has hired Matthew Grande to join the company’s seasoned automation control team. Mr. Grande’s deep experience in active energy management and automation architecture will help Armistead guide its clients – which include commercial buildings, hospitals and Fortune 500 companies – through the process of incorporating digital technologies and solutions to manage energy and process in ways that are safe, reliable, efficient and sustainable.
The executive move enhances Armistead Mechanical, Inc. Services’ partnership with Schneider Electric, a global specialist in energy management and automation. Among Schneider’s keynote systems is EcoStruxure™ Building, which securely connects hardware, software, and services over an Ethernet IP backbone for maximized building efficiency, optimized comfort and productivity, and increased building value. In addition to allowing for consolidated, segmented environmental control, Schneider Electric also offers systems that bolster and simplify security apparatuses.
Armistead Mechanical, Inc. Services’ team of building automation control experts also offer a combined 50-plus years of mechanical contracting experience. These complementary professional backgrounds allow Armistead to service its clients more comprehensively than traditional building automation control vendors.
In his new position, Mr. Grande will focus on assisting customers with the system design and layout of their HVAC, security, and lighting control systems, handling all aspects of project delivery from design to estimating to sales to project management. He will focus on the digital transformation of energy management and automation – guiding customers in the deployment and usage of IoT-enabled solutions that connect, collect, analyze and act on data in real-time.
Prior to joining Armistead Mechanical, Inc. Services, Mr. Grande worked extensively with both TBS Controls and Honeywell. He has an MBA in marketing and finance from Fairleigh Dickinson University, and a B.S. in mechanical engineering from the Stevens Institute of Technology.
