Amerisure is proud to be named in Computerworld’s Best Places to Work in IT program for 2023, which recognizes the top organizations that positively challenge their information technology employees while providing great benefits and compensation, among other important aspects of a top workplace culture.

“We are thrilled to be ranked among the Best Places to Work in IT by Computerworld,” said Amjed Al-Zoubi, chief information officer at Amerisure. “Through our engineering culture, Amerisure’s IT team is continuously identifying ways to improve processes and enhance the service experience for our employees, agency partners and policyholders. This recognition is also a testament to our people focus and digital transformation initiatives that are helping us move the organization forward.”

The Best Places to Work in IT is an annual ranking, by industry experts, of the top work environments for technology professionals by Foundry’s Computerworld. This is Amerisure’s first time participating in the program and the company was ranked 5th among small-sized organizations on the Best Places to Work in IT list. Computerworld also ranked Amerisure as second in benefits & compensation; diversity, equity & inclusion (DEI); and career development.

“We’re so excited to receive our fifth workplace award in 2022. Offering great benefits & compensation is just one part of the overall package that helps create a healthy culture where all employees can be their authentic selves at work,” said Erin Buddie, Amerisure’s vice president of human resources.

The winners list is compiled based on a questionnaire regarding company offerings in categories such as benefits; career development; diversity, equity and inclusion; future of work; and training and retention.

“Adapting to a ‘new normal’ has put additional demands on IT organizations at companies of all sizes. This year’s winning companies have stepped up with increased IT staffing and a variety of innovative professional development opportunities. The result of these efforts is that not only are IT staffs engaged and productive, but the entire business benefits from IT’s ability to support evolving workplace models and changing business and customer needs,” said Rob O’Regan, global director of content strategy at Foundry. “Importantly, this year’s award winners are laser-focused on diversity initiatives to expand the IT talent pool and promote workplace diversity and inclusion.”

Amerisure is a frequent recipient of workplace awards. In 2022, the company was named among the Best and Brightest Companies to Work For® in the Nation, Metro Detroit, and Atlanta; and was recognized by Business Insurance as a Best Place to Work in Insurance™.
