Allied Air Enterprises recently introduced the Pro Series line for both Armstrong Air™ and AirEase®, featuring the new 20LX 20 SEER variable-capacity, high-efficiency air conditioner and heat pump.
The 20LX is designed to provide maximum control and performance when paired with other Pro Series equipment including the A97MV modulating gas furnace, the BCE4S variable-speed air handler and the Comfort Sync® controller. A system that incorporates the 20LX can also take advantage of Comfort Sync zoning, which enables precise, localized control for up to four different areas of the home.
The 20LX offers true variable-capacity because it uses inverter technology to deliver the amount of cooling or heating needed, creating a balance between temperature control and energy efficiency. So there can be no more worries about wearing a sweater in winter or suffering through summer heat.
The Comfort Sync controller, an integral part of every Pro Series system, allows homeowners to control their environment from across the room or across the country through their smartphone or tablet. So Pro Series owners enjoy control right in the palm of their hands.

MHT ™ (Maximum Heat Transfer) technology in the 20LX’s high-efficiency design helps deliver the optimal balance between energy usage and cooling output, increasing Pro Series equipment’s ability to handle weather extremes with ease, and without breaking the bank. Also, when combined with Complete Comfort MERV 10 or 13 filters, the 20LX provides a whole-home solution for air quality.

Another advantage of the Pro Series comes in the form of airflow. Unlike conventional furnaces or air handlers that are either all the way on or all the way off, a Pro Series furnace or air handler with variable-speed airflow has the ability to adjust airspeed up and down like a dimmer switch.
Variable-speed airflow means quieter operation, especially during start up, along with better humidity control. When paired with variable-capacity equipment like the 20LX, Pro Series systems can make slight adjustments to the temperature over time. This modulating capacity means a home’s environment stays the way a homeowner wants it, with fewer temperature swings.
