Data released by TravelClick for hotels in North America indicate a year-over-year growth of 4.1 percent in average daily rates for August 2012 through July 2013 as demand in the corporate and leisure segments continue to grow. The group reports that committed occupancy during the same period will rise 3.9 percent from a year earlier, with the transient segment rising 4.4 percent and the group segment increasing by 3.5 percent. For the fourth quarter, committed occupancy is up 7.2 percent year-over-year, while ADR rose 4.5 percent from last year.
