VMZINC^®-US, the international brand name of rolled zinc products manufactured and sold by the Building Products Unit of the Umicore group, has announced that the company’s Paris-based operational marketing manager, Laurent Heindryckx, will now oversee new territories around the world as part of his duties, including all of North America. Heindryckx’s previous scope of work included the U.S., France, central Europe and Scandinavia. As of Dec. 1, 2014, he will now also oversee all of North America, India and Asia-Pacific. Doing so will allow Heindryckx to create a unified global sales and marketing strategy to help increase zinc’s prominence as a sustainable, innovative building material in a wide range of projects.
Heindryckx has a degree in civil engineering from the University of Amiens in France. In 2000, he joined the Umicore Building Products USA headquarters in Raleigh as director of operations, and in 2012, he moved to the company’s global headquarters in France to first begin his service as operational marketing manager.
