EMG, a Maryland-based engineering, environmental, capital planning and project management consulting company, has promoted Shannon Vogt to Project Manager Team Leader for its Asset Management Division. He will supervise and work with teams of field managers, program managers, reviewers, trainers and other departmental staff to develop increasingly more efficient operational systems for EMG personnel nationwide.
Vogt joined EMG in 2003 and quickly developed expertise in commercial real estate due diligence, facility condition assessment, federal and county building engineering reports, energy audits and construction project management and monitoring. In the multi-family housing sector alone, he has successfully completed hundreds of property condition and physical needs assessments. He has also managed projects in health care, higher education, industrial, office and government facility sectors during his tenure at EMG.
Bill Champion, Director of Asset Management Consulting at EMG, said, “Shannon has been an exemplary project manager with EMG for more than 10 years. He is heartily respected by his peers and committed to helping EMG find better and more efficient ways to train and support our field personnel, developing and leveraging technology along the way. We are indeed fortunate to have him on our team.”
Vogt earned his bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Pennsylvania State University in 1993 and his master’s degree in Construction Engineering and Management from the University of California in 1999.
