According to our most recent study, Atlanta started its residential conversions in the 1980s and has since then completed a number of 15 adaptive reuse projects.
Other interesting insights:
- The 15 restored buildings created more than 2,500 apartments in Atlanta, half of which are dedicated to accommodating mid- and low-income renters.
- The most restored building type in Atlanta was factories (5), followed by hotels (4). It’s also worth mentioning The Historic Roosevelt Apartments, converted from the eponymous school built in 1915.
