Stratford Inn, Fenton’s family-owned hotel, has been sold by Hilliker after 60 years in business.
The sale of Stratford Inn, a long-established two-story hotel owned by a local St. Louis family, included the 121,000 square feet building on a 10+ acre highly visible site. This was one of the largest tracts of commercial land available in the current Fenton submarket.
Jake Shepley of Hilliker Corporation represented the seller, and Stephen F. Bahn Commercial Real Estate Services represented the purchaser.
When asked about the seller’s decision to put the Fenton landmark on the market, Shepley answers, “The Stratford Inn is a very large operation, and the family decided it was time to turn it over to new ownership and management to rejuvenate the business.”
The building sits across from the old Chrysler Plant on I-44 and garners over 100,000 vehicles of drive-by traffic per day. The building offers 400 car parking, 215 hotel rooms and approximately 10,000 square feet of restaurant and lounge area as well as a 10,000 square feet banquet hall.
Stratford Inn, located at 800 South Highway Drive, Fenton, MO, was built in 1958.
The seller has owned Stratford Inn since 1992.
