Chadwick’s of Boston left behind an earlier strategy of trying to appeal to a younger demographic and returned to its core audience of women aged 45 to 60 after going through a Chapter 11 bankruptcy reorganization in 2011. The retailer has also added the words “of Boston” to its name and sources exclusively from U.S. suppliers, a strategy that allows for a wider assortment and shorter lead time.
