The Metal Construction Association (MCA) is reinvigorating its MCM System Fabricator Certification program. Through the program, companies that fabricate metal composite material (MCM) panels for architectural use can earn certification by meeting requirements for experience, services, MCM system performance, and financial strength.

Certification gives fabricators a competitive advantage in winning high-end projects and qualifying for more design specifications thanks to their independently verified qualifications. Certified companies have the right to use the MCA Certified System Fabricator logo to promote this accomplishment, and MCA provides them with marketing materials to help them leverage their certification.

“This certification program provides peace of mind to the building team. The architect has peace of mind regarding the system’s design performance. The general contractor looks for peace of mind with the system installation, and the owner looks for peace of mind with the system’s longevity and functionality of their building façade,” said Tom Seitz, MCA’s MCM Alliance executive director.

With 13 companies certified, Seitz said MCA is working to increase awareness of and participation in the program.
