Tarkett, a global leader in innovative and sustainable flooring solutions, has launched a new high-impact tile (HIT) collection ideal for grocery, convenience and auto stores, as well as temporary promo pads or store-in-store experiences. The collection, iD Tilt HIT, boasts best-in-class durability and installs four times faster than ceramic tiles over a variety of existing surfaces.
“In fast-paced retail environments, you need flooring solutions that move as quickly as your merchandise,” said Paul Young, senior vice president of product innovation and design for Tarkett North America. “From quick store remodels to temporary pop-up displays, these durable tiles support the weight of heavy traffic and rolling loads—like large merchandise, shopping carts and pallet jacks—all while remaining flexible to future changes.”
Featuring movable and reusable tiles, iD Tilt HIT can be installed quickly over permanent floors to highlight temporary promo pads—and it can be removed just as quickly when the store’s footprint changes again. Its unique interlocking design minimizes labor costs and allows for immediate occupancy, reducing a store’s downtime during new construction or renovation.
“We understand how important it is for businesses to maintain an ideal shopping experience with uninterrupted service to their customers,” Young said. “iD Tilt HIT was optimally designed with these end-users in mind. Not only is it quick to install and re-install, but it also delivers ergonomic support for added comfort underfoot and is easy to keep looking like new.”
iD Tilt HIT’s core layer is reinforced with glass fiber for dimensional stability and resistance to tear and indentation; a 2.7mm homogeneous wear layer offers increased durability. The HIT flooring is finished with a TopClean XPTM PU Coating for superior resistance to scuffs, scratches and stains. Like all Tarkett floors, it is free of ortho-phthalates, PFAS and other chemicals of concern. At the end of the product’s life, iD Tilt HIT can be recycled through Tarkett’s hassle-free ReStart® take-back and recycling program.
With fast installation and easy cleaning and maintenance, iD Tilt HIT provides a cost-efficient surface with high value and return on investment. To learn more about the collection, visit tarkett.com.
