Prefabricated buildings that extend the capabilities of a site are becoming more popular for a number of reasons. Instead of a long design phase and complex building project, prefabricated structures are efficient, cost-effective, and produce less waste. They are also faster to build.

Faster Construction

Traditional buildings need to be designed, and the construction project carefully managed, all of which require more investment of time and money. Traditional buildings are also bespoken, so the design phases can take longer. Prefabricated buildings are already stored in warehouses.
Instead of spending months or years waiting for the planning permission to come through, prefabricated buildings can be constructed right away. The benefit is the standardized designs that have easier permission processes. Of course, faster production means better revenues.

Lower Costs

When a company, school, or institution wants to extend the capabilities of the site with an extra warehouse, classroom, or center, the cost is a primary factor. Overall, traditional buildings cost more because of their specialist designs and other factors. Prefab buildings have lower costs.
The costs of a prefabricated building such as a butler building are consistent and predictable. Not only do you get a reliable and guaranteed building you can install in a short time, but you can predict the costs more accurately, helping to balance the budget in the short and long term.

Environmental Factors

Environmental factors are a key concern in the construction industry. The construction industry accounts for just under 40% of global CO2 emissions, so it’s important for buildings and building owners to reduce their carbon processes. Prefabricated buildings are an effective way to do this.
Prefabricated buildings are constructed in a highly controlled environment meaning that waste management is more efficient. Because the buildings are all pre-designed and uniform, they are easier to construct and deliver; all of these factors help to bring down total carbon emissions.

Build Flexibility

Buying a prefabricated building is different from buying a traditional structure; it’s easier to add more floor space if required. Prefabricated buildings are designed to adapt to the needs of your business, allowing you to add extra rooms and extensions to increase the building’s functionality.
With a traditional building, you would have to return to the design phase to extend the floor space, you would also have to apply for further planning permission, but that’s not the case with prefabricated designs. All you have to do is contact the brand and order in another building part.

Bespoke Designs

Something that puts people off prefabricated buildings is their lack of originality; prefabricated buildings all look alike and might not align with the specifications of your site. However, many prefabricated designs also provide bespoke capabilities, so you can order them to fit your site.
Bespoke designs are easy to order, but you might have to wait a little longer for the designs. As the building are prefabricated, they will be constructed in a warehouse and delivered at your convenience. These buildings can be constructed on-site easily with conventional equipment.
