Stellar, a fully integrated firm focused on design, engineering, construction and mechanical services worldwide, has hired Brian Franco as its Commercial Group’s new Vice President of Business Development.
Franco brings more than 25 years of architecture, engineering and construction (A/E/C) industry experience. Prior to joining Stellar, he served as Vice President of Marketing for Sauer Inc., where helped launch the company’s private commercial group, generating over $90 million in new business in the last three years.
His clients included UF Health, St. Vincent’s HealthCare, Baptist Health System, Johnson & Johnson Vision Care, Navy Federal Credit Union, Westminster Retirement and many others. Franco also previously served as Vice President of Business Development for Auld & White Constructors.
“We are pleased to have such a well-regarded industry leader and business strategist join our team,” said Richard Lovelace, Senior Vice President, Stellar Commercial Group. “Brian will play a critical role as we build upon Stellar’s experience in niche industries and experience both nationally and internationally to continue our development of a world-class construction group in northeast Florida.”
Franco is tasked with growing Stellar’s portfolio of projects in the automotive, educational, faith-based, healthcare, hospitality, industrial, office, research and development, recreational and retail industries.
“Stellar is widely known as a powerhouse in certain industry sectors, such as food processing, refrigeration and energy, but many don’t know about the company’s extensive capabilities and experience in the private commercial space, particularly in growing markets such as healthcare and higher education,” Franco said. “There is tremendous untapped potential, and I’m honored to be a part of the leadership team during this growth phase.”
Franco earned a bachelor’s degree in vocational education from Pennsylvania State University and a bachelor’s degree in construction technology from University of North Florida. He currently serves as the 2015 chairman of THE PLAYERS Championship and has been a board member of the Ronald McDonald House, National Multiple Sclerosis Society of Northeast Florida and the Boys & Girls Club of Northeast Florida.
